Seems like there are barely any posts, and the only ones that are complementary about scions come from Elliot.
What I'm wondering is, does Tribe consider this Sponsored Tribe method of marketing to be successful? At what point would it be considered to have worked?
Also, scion owners on this tribe should know about scion-owners.com, which is unsponsored, and therefore less likely to have any postings that are hidden advertisements for the Toyota products. Scion-owners.com's board is much more active than this one too.

Re: So, how's this tribe working out for y'all?
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 10:47 AMLess likely to be hidden advertisements for Toyota? What the...?
If y'all are gathering to discuss a product, I'd call that one GIANT free advertisement. Good for you. You're doing Scion a service...for free. At least Tribe's getting paid for their contribution to the discussion. What makes you think that there haven't been and aren't guerrilla marketeers in scion-owners.com? -

Re: So, how's this tribe working out for y'all?
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 6:36 PMAh, but they're gathering on their own terms.
There may well be guerilla marketeers at scion-owners.com,
but the admins there aren't going to erase posts at the request of an advertiser.
On the other hand, Tribe seems to have shown a little restraint in that department too.
My reminder to everyone that Scion's have pitiful reviews in terms of mechanical issues is still up. I like that. It isn't flaming if it's true and sourced. I wonder what other things are wrong with Scions that are true, and come from credible sources? I should go looking and post some more of them here. Would that violate TOU, if I found known issues with a low-budget vehicle target marketed at the image-conscious? Does it violate TOU to post that sort of thing, as long as it's true?
What sort of ethical quandary would that create for tribe? Would they censor true information about a Tribe Sponsor's product, posted to that sponsor's own tribe? So far, not. But will the Sponsor's apply pressure on this?
sticky sticky sticky.
